The Bumbershoot

  A THOUGHT FROM YESTERDAY'S SERMON

Jesus spent 3 days lost from his parents. But was he really lost? When his parents found him, his reply was, "Did you not know I would be about my Father's business?" Just like every story in Scripture, this one points us to the one main theme of the Bible: Jesus is the promised Redeemer.  Though his parents missed him for 3 days, he was not lost.  He was both obeying his parents and his Heavenly Father as he grew, learned and served in the Temple.  Years later, his disciples would also miss him for 3 days as he lay in the tomb.  But he would not be lost then either.  He would be about the Father's business taking sin and death to the grave so that his people could be freed from their grip.
PRAYER CORNER:

1. Pray for Hawkins Suggs who is in the hospital with flu and pneumonia.

2. Pray that our elder Paul Pasarilla's broken leg would heal quickly.

Children's Questions or prayer requests can be placed in the box on the Children's Table outside the sanctuary.
