The purpose of children's ministry at TPC is to give specific thought and attention to the way children grow in their understanding of Christ's Kingdom and what membership in that Kingdom entails.
1. Musical Arts for all K-5th graders begins this Sunday evening at 5:50. Students will be learning many of the hymns common to worship at Trinity as well as how to read music & rythym, and about the ancient and contemporary composers of many well-known hymns.
2. Did you know we have many tools to help children learn to worship? Check the children's table to the left of the sanctuary doors each week. There are bulletins specifically for young worshippers and a box to leave your questions and prayer requests.
A THOUGHT FROM YESTERDAY'S SERMON
Jesus is Lord of all. Does this truth ever make you stop and wonder? It certainly caught the disciples off guard! Yes, Jesus is a good teacher and friend, but Lord of the wind and waves?! At first this can excite us as we realize we don't need to fear. But knowing this can also make us question why he doesn't calm every bad thing that storms into our lives. When we listen to this story, we realize that the disciples asked for Jesus' help but didn't really expect him to help in a way that would save their lives. When we ask for Jesus' help with something, do we trust the Lord of ALL to help us in the BEST way possible or only in the way we think it should be done? If there is a storm going on that scares you, ask Jesus not just to calm the storm, but to calm your heart and help you trust that he is in control of it.
1. Give thanks for Hawkins Suggs recovery and for the birth of Amelia O'Brien!
2. Continue to pray for our elder Paul Pasarilla as his broken leg heals and for his family as they care for him.
Children's Questions or prayer requests can be placed in the box on the Children's Table outside the sanctuary.
Here's a link to a fun little children's song about Jesus stopping the storm.
